Faceless Portraits

My wife and I decided that we were going to limit the baby’s exposure on social media. To that end, I’m using a technique called a “faceless portrait” to take pictures to post online of the baby. This requires a shallow depth of field so that her hand or foot or some other part of her — or a toy or prop — are in focus while her face is not. Or, alternatively, I can photograph her with some prop in front of her face, or from behind, etc. The aim is to not show her face but still convey the beauty and cuteness of our baby girl.
